Year 2009

Another 4 hours for 2009 to come to an end. What an year it was from me...there were regular change of events...fun and frolic...love and hatred...sorrow and happiness..

Beginning 4 days of the year were too good at Goa-Mumbai..with the friends of a lifetime..."Jane Kyun Dil Chahta Hai"...This continued with all those trips to Urban Pind, pizzas at GK-I, house hunt...Then came a shift to K-XX at Lajpat Nagar...Those cooking together..eating together and drinking together....the best part of my life...

Then came the biggest shock to my professional life...Raju declaring his 700 crore rupees fraud in Satyam..this left all of us to trouble...everyone started looking for a new job for me.. though i knew going back to Chennai was an option but i didnt want to leave my friends...nor did they want to leave me...Interview at CyberMedia...at Crimsonlogic..for desk editor and sales..all new fields..then came DUPONT...amazing 7 rounds of selection....I got my offer...but how is it possible that confusion doesnt confront me before anything...

I also got through NMIMS, a premier institute in Mumbai..I thought and then decided to join DuPont and did that on the fool's day..

Except Jaipur there was no other trip this year...My life since then has come to a standstill...I'm improving on my credit status...Prefessional life is simple...

My personal life changed in September when my parents shifted to Delhi...and since then its just Work and Home...that's it...

2009 has been a satisfactory year for me...and today at the last day after watching 3 idiots I felt I am idiot too..that iwas running after things which I had no interest in...My interest lies in my writing...so I had started it all over gain..and I would like to maintain it soon...

Some Famous Buzz Words of 2009 which has effected my life either positively or negatively are: Ramalinga Raju, DuPont, Yoginder, Rajan, Ankur, Deepti, Ravindra, Documentum, Mom, Table Tennis, Past Life Regression, IAS etc.

Bravo ISRO!!!

Today I am a proud Indian not because we have won some cricket series but because India's maiden moon research satellite has been applauded by the whole world. When India's first satellite to moon got launched, none had high hopes from the mission. When Chandrayan got lost few weeks back, space scientists around the globe was not optimistic of what could be learnt from a small excursion of the satellite on the moon. But when the results were analysed, to a world's surprise India has coem out to be a clear winner in discovering Water in the form of H2O2 on the moon. Scientists who were stubborn on moon being a dry pit, were forced to change their views. All this has come true of a limited budget and makes each Indian proud. Bravo ISRO and we hope India receives Nobel Prize in Science after a long time!!!!!!!!

Wanna Cry Loud

I want to cry, but have no tears in my eyes;
Want to talk, but could not speak another word.
What hurts me I do not know?
But there’s something for sure which needs to be cured.

I am with them but still a distance apart,
Know them for years yet I am so far.
I see them loving others, but not a kind word for me;
They’ll plan things for them, and not even make a call to me.

I am a fool, I have not learned any lessons;
Know would be crushed, but fall upon them like pebbles.
Now I think, if you cannot love me, or care about me;
Please spare me, as your loving others, I just cannot see.

Dont get any closer

I cant give you love, nor can be stuck by dove; I know I'm a loser, please do not get any closer. I dont make friends, nor do I have any enemies; But whats the need of weird chemistries.

Fun and frolic is what you need, then why do you have to dig a friendly seed? Its with closest people you stay, but please, keep them at a bay; so that when you are in earth leaving gear, there is no one to shed a tear. I know, I know I am a loser, please do not get any closer.

Its the company that matters

Hahahha!!! Seeing my last blog you must be thinking this would be another post on my new company. But actually its not.
This weekend was a long weekend, so I accompanied few friends to Jaipur. I had been their earlier on a school excursion but the complete trip was quite diffferent.
The last time I was their I was amongst a crowd of friends but was actually alone sobing of being in solitude. Their were many happy faces around me but my face had a big depressing gloominess. Seeing every others enjoying pinched me harder everytime I felt that misisng in my life. Thoughout the trip I was thinking of getting back home asap.
This time the veniue was same, but I was amongst a few best pals of my life. I was very excited and had a cheerful smile throughout. I was happy to see happier faces around and enjoyed what i had badly missed last time. I never thought that the same place could be so much fun for me. I wanted to spend every moment and even felt the shortage of time.
Truly, it is teh company you are with that matters the most and not the place. Not only you have great time with them but you ooze out cnfidence, excitement and self motivation for you to remain happy for several days.

New Workspace

Its been a week at my new workplace. From an IT company I have moved to a manufacturing domain, though my work reamins a little similar but on a different gear. Earlier I used to be a part of a service provider working as per customer needs, now I am a customer to such service providers and get work done. You feel really good when there is a change in your daily routine, the monotonous schedule gets a break.
The last few months of my older company had passed under humiliation and embarrasment for the deeds of our employer, who struck the world with one of the biggest financial frauds ever for which my older company was termed as India's Enron. The customers had started exiting there and the whole day used to go in playing spider or minesweeper.
Thank God with the change in the company, I am back to work. Since day one, I have work here. I am feeling so good. Its definitely a good change if I am right.
Culture wise, it looks great. You have your own working freedom and flexibility. Innovation is embraced whole heartedly and you can have your own way of defining process.
Overall, so far so good....lets see how my new journey goes on.

It hits hard from within,
When I am all to myself.
It hits even harder,
In the midst of ourselves.

I thought I was lucky, to have you all around;
but forgot to ask if you were ready to be bound.
Weather is bd and storm is blowing thongs away,
Mistrust and distress are all the times here to stay.

Everytime we feel we are gonna go places,
the feeling of jealousy and discomfort in my heart, leaves traces.
It had happened earlier and its happening now,
When I ask myself what, when and how?

What was destined to get us back here,
It seems the lord above hasnt learned from his mistakes all these years.
He knows, staying with friends raises my expectations,
But feels so ignored that I can still confirm with conviction.

O, lord please do not play the game called friends with me,
The pain within, more often on my face is seen.
My luck does not work in this lovable game,
And I end up falling in a melancholy confused drain.

Our Space

Mixed Feelings is the order of the day. General assumption would be to associte love with happiness and hate with sorrow but I have encountered something different. Encountered!!! Yes, I encounter love and sorrow nearly everyday. It sounds weird, doesn't it?

I have recently shifted from Chennai to Delhi and was happy to be close to home amongst friends. The life began with lot of exciting get togethers and parties....but amongst all this I forgot there had to be some hidden sorrow, tears, unhappiness around:(

I chose to stay with friends to convert daily 2 hours meetings into being everytime together, but I didn't realize I was converting MY SPACE into 'OUR SPACE'. Not only I infact all of us missed on this and now we are lack of personal space, personal emotions, personal likings and dislikings. We still party everyday, but the happiness of love amongst us is so short lived that it is followed by a longer sadness of doing things which one doesnt want to do, interpreting words of others which sometimes hurt you etc. This is not because the love is missing, it is beacuse we are sharing the space. I have nothing against this, but its true that not every1 can accept sadness and sorrow in the best of spirits. There is a possibility when a person doesnt like to share his/her feelings into OUR Space, there can be times when a person wishes to be sad but has to be happy in this space or viceversa, there is a possibilty of people in this space missing on family, career and counterparts...but its we who have decided on promoting MY space to OUR space, so theres no question of complaining.....

Little beyond ones imagination but this is OUR Space, which is confusing, exciting, full of love and sorrow, tears and joys, parties and boredem etc..

Adopt Hobbies!!!

After any major calamity in the world, the human's best creator, the god himself, leaves a lot of people homeless and lot of young children deprived of their families. There occurs the problem of adoption and we find lot of people adopting these young ones. Isn't it a noble solution to the problem laid down by the almighty but last few days indian govt. is thinking about making laws that indian children can not be adopted by NRIs or international parents. this is because few of them are being adopted just on the papers but they are being treated as slaves. Thus adoption has become under scrutiny.
You, must be thinking what it has to do with adopting hobbies. I just wanted to give it a serious thought, that how adoption is a major issue in today's time that even a law has to be made on it but I'll be talking in my blog is adopting hobbies which is equally important as adopting babies.
Lot of us have hidden talents inside us but we are so engrossed in our life style and daily routines that we dont get time to identify them. These talents or interests needs to be identified so that we can go back from our workplaces and devote atleast some time to our hobbies. this would give us a mental peace and stability as hobbies are the bets piece of work human being wanna do without anyone's supervision. It is the natural instinct of aperson. It is the real true of oneself. thus hobbies needs to be adopted and worked up, so that we can be more focussed and concentrate on a work which will get the best out of us.
The next question that arise here is ,if hobby is that important then why dont we adopt it as our career? This question is very important and suits our indian society where every parent wants his child to be a doctor or an engineer. Our parents, our teachers and specially our education is to be blamed which does not give time to a child to work upon his hobbies since his younger days that he finds it difficult to adopt later. but its never too late for anything. keep yourself in the shoes of you when u were 15 years old and think what were u good at, what u felt happy doing. that will tell u what is ur hobby and what u need to adopt.
thus one should have a hobby or adopt one as soon as possible and to derive a momentary result from it, hobbies could be taken up as part time jobs.
adopting hobby is equally important for a management aspirant as the usual questions asked in ones personal interview are:
What is your haobby? How much time do you devote for your hobby daily? How will you link yourself to your hobby?
i would not disclose more of it now and leave you to think about it..Do write back telling me about your hobby and what do u feel about the importance of a hobby in one's life.
prayers and happy adopting
yuwaan.
